Hamas releases new directive on hostage disposal: execute as soon as Israeli army approaches

On the evening of September 2nd local time, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that he insists Israel should control the "Philadelphia Corridor" along the border between Gaza Strip and Egypt, and accuses the Egyptian government of failing to ensure the security of the border area between Egypt and Gaza Strip. The Philadelphia Corridor is a narrow strip of land stretching approximately 14 kilometers along the border between Gaza Strip and Egypt, serving as a military buffer zone.

According to reports, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warned on September 2 that if the Israeli army continues military operations in the Gaza Strip instead of choosing ceasefire negotiations, it may result in the lives of the remaining hostages being taken hostage being unable to sustain. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that the six hostages found dead were all executed and shot from the back of their heads.

Abu Ubaida, spokesperson for the Hamas affiliated armed faction Qassam Brigades, stated that new instructions have been issued on how to handle hostages. If the Israeli army approaches the detention site, the new directive will be executed. He said, "Netanyahu insists on releasing prisoners through military pressure rather than reaching an agreement, which will result in prisoners being sent home in coffins

Ubaida added that this new directive was issued after an Israeli operation in June. Netanyahu and the occupying forces bear full responsibility for the deaths of prisoners. They deliberately obstruct any prisoner exchange agreement for their own narrow interests, and even intentionally kill dozens of prisoners through direct airstrikes. He said that Netanyahu's stubbornness has forced the families of hostages to choose whether they want their loved ones to die or to live.

6 hostages appear in the video

After announcing this news, Hamas released a video in which six Israeli hostages who were found dead on September 1st spoke their names one by one. This is a pre recorded video of the murdered hostage, Eden Yerushimi, before his death. Yerushami was kidnapped on October 7th last year while she was working as a bartender at a music festival.

According to reports, Yerushimi said to his family in a video, "I miss you, I love you." The report stated that Yerushimi also conveyed a message to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in a pre recorded video, but this message was not made public. It is reported that the complete video contains messages expressed in Arabic, Hebrew, and English, such as "exchange deals... freedom and life, military pressure... death and failure".

Hamas had previously released videos of hostages making statements, which Israel called despicable psychological warfare.

On September 2nd local time, when asked if Netanyahu had made enough efforts to ensure hostage negotiations, US President Biden replied "no".

Biden proposed a three-stage ceasefire plan in May this year, including the exchange of Israeli hostages in Gaza and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, and last month put forward a proposal aimed at narrowing the differences between the two sides. Despite this, the United States returned empty handed during the ceasefire talks held in Doha, Qatar and Cairo, Egypt last month. Regarding the ceasefire and hostage release, Netanyahu seemed to be aware of Biden's comments and said, "No one is more involved than me, and no one can lecture me on the hostage issue
