Russia summoned the US ambassador
On June 24th local time, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the US Ambassador to Russia regarding Ukraine's attack on the Black Sea port city of Sevastopol. The Russian side stated that the actions of the United States are aimed at encouraging the Kiev authorities to continue military operations, and such actions will be punished. The US and Ukrainian authorities bear equal responsibility for the attacks in the Crimea region.
On the 23rd local time, the Ukrainian military used American made missiles to attack the Black Sea port city of Sevastopol. On the 23rd, the mayor of Sevastopol, a port city in the Black Sea, said that the missile attack carried out by Ukraine on the city has resulted in 5 deaths, including 3 children, and the number of injured has risen to 144.
TASS reported, citing the Russian Ministry of Health, that the number of injured people in the Ukrainian military's attack on Sevastopol has increased to 144, of which 82 are hospitalized for treatment.
On the 23rd, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement stating that around 12:15 on the same day, the Ukrainian side used American made Army Tactical Missiles (ATACMS) equipped with cluster type multiple warheads to attack the civilian infrastructure in Sevastopol city. The Russian air defense forces on duty shot down four of the missiles, and another missile exploded in the air, causing a large number of civilian casualties in Sevastopol due to missile debris.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also stated that all flight missions of US made army tactical missiles were input by US experts based on reconnaissance data obtained from US satellites. Therefore, the US side that provided relevant weapons to Ukraine and the Ukrainian side that launched this missile attack from Ukraine should be responsible for the incident. Crimean Chief Executive Akshonov announced on social media that June 24th will be designated as a day of mourning for the victims, and all cultural, mass, sports, and entertainment activities will be cancelled.

Flight data shows that a US reconnaissance plane appeared over the Black Sea before Sevastopol was attacked
According to Russian media reports, data analysis from flight data platforms shows that during the Ukrainian attack on the Black Sea port city of Sevastopol, a US Air Force "Global Hawk" unmanned reconnaissance aircraft appeared over the Black Sea in southeastern Crimea.
The drone appeared over the Black Sea southeast of Crimea at around 11:12 local time on the 23rd. It then flew in the direction of Crimea for 10 minutes. At around 11:39, the Global Hawk drone disappeared from the radar, and at 11:47, it reappeared and flew towards the coast of the Krasnodar Territory. From 11:55 to 12:03, the UAV stayed at the same place roughly and flew south towards Türkiye from 12:05.
