Comrade Li Keqiang, born in July 1955 in Dingyuan, Anhui. He has loved the Party, the motherland, and the people since his youth, studied hard, and pursued progress. From March 1974, he joined the Dongling Brigade of Damiao Commune in Fengyang County, Anhui Province, joined the CPC in May 1976, and served as the Party branch secretary of Damiao Commune in Fengyang County, Anhui Province from November 1976 to March 1978. From March 1978 to February 1982, studied in the Department of Law at Peking University and served as the head of the student union. Since February 1982, Comrade Li Keqiang has successively served as the Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Peking University, a member of the Central Standing Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Minister of the Central School Department of the Communist Youth League, and the Secretary General of the All China Student Federation, an alternate Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Youth League, a Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Youth League and Vice Chairman of the All China Youth Federation, and the Director of the National Youth Work Committee. Starting from March 1993, he served as the First Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Youth League and the President of the China Youth Political College, as well as a member of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress. He closely considers and arranges the work of the Youth League around the central task of the Party, serving the overall work of the Party and the country. Since June 1998, Comrade Li Keqiang has served as Deputy Secretary of the Henan Provincial Party Committee, Acting Governor, Governor, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress. He proposed the goal of achieving the rise of the Central Plains and forming a development consensus throughout the province. While vigorously promoting industrialization and urbanization, he accelerated the construction of agricultural modernization and promoted the significant development of various economic and social undertakings in Henan. Since December 2004, Comrade Li Keqiang has served as the Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress. He firmly seized the dual opportunities of Northeast revitalization and coastal opening up, focused on deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises, constructing the "Five Points and One Line" coastal economic belt, proposed and organized the implementation of livelihood projects such as the transformation of concentrated and contiguous shantytowns, promoting employment for "zero employment families", and promoting the revitalization of Liaoning's old industrial base to achieve significant results. In October 2007, Comrade Li Keqiang was elected as a member and standing committee member of the Central Political Bureau at the First Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. In March 2008, he served as the Vice Premier and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of the State Council, responsible for the executive work of the State Council, development and reform, finance, land and resources, environmental protection, construction, and health. He assisted in responding to the international financial crisis, accelerating economic restructuring, deepening the implementation of regional coordinated development strategies, promoting energy conservation, emission reduction, ecological environment protection, and deepening the reform of the medical and health system.
